Warrior: The Movie Review
« on: March 29, 2012, 04:38:34 pm »
Warrior. The movie review.
Directed by Gavin O'Connor. Starring Joel Edgerton, Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte.

You know I rarely watch boxing, martial arts, mixed fights or any other form of 'fights' for that matter but this movie (Warrior) was so skillfully made and the performances of the actors so natural and convincing that it gives you the goosebumps.
This was no ordinary fight - as the story evolves around two estranged brothers (Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton) and a father - drunk former boxer (Nick Nolte) faced the fight of a lifetime. The battle reaches a cathartic, winning finish and strangely achieves a surprising compassion and honesty. The movie Warrior ends up feeling a lot bigger than you expect it to.

So if you are wondering what to do this coming weekend (it doesn't matter whether you are a fan of Mixed Martial fights) and you need some inspiration, courage, doggedness and passion and emotion - then get yourself this movie. I strongly recommend it.
