Hello! it is nice to have such a blog. Good Job! really did a good job in initiating this. and you article seems interesting. I want to ask you though. how do I firs get the temporary residence.(I have visa and registration.) what do I do next to get temporary residence untill I can be able to get the permanent one?

Getting a temporary stay permit depends also on the type of visa you have and the duration.
if you can hint me on this then I can advise properly.

Why south side of Russia?
Anyways, do keep in mind that Russia does not have an immigration system like Australia or Canada.
To get into Russia, you must be invited by another party (private or company).
I don't know what your field of education is, but you may want to try and look for International companies with offices in Russia - Which I admit are not that many.
Another option is to come as a student in which case you have to contact the school of your choice directly and they will on your behalf prepare and invitation letter, which you will take to the Russian embassy. 
Since you mentioned having a Russian friend in Russia, he or she can invite you over for you to see things first hand before deciding if it is worth migrating to Russia.
