There are Africans in Russia and some are here to stay. So how can you stay here legally and be qualified to get a job?
I have created this on our blogsite on how you can achieve this. This first step is a Temporary Stay Permit (TRP)

Hi,
The stamp is basically saying that "Your Application for Temporary Stay Permit was accepted. No *** Date. 07.03.2012. By the inspector of Local immigration office for Krasnoyarsk Region in your city. It also shows the inspector's name and last name.

The big red stamp says - Federal Migration Service- 240-015.

No they will not take it from you as it is your only proof that you have applied for a temporary stay permit in Russia. So please keep it.

as they said it can be till 5 months but in normal way how it take ??

Normally it takes between 5 to 6 months. That's what the law says.
So will you be going back to return again?

i think i dont have any other choose

i will leave the country and i will come back here again after 2 months

its already gona to be 1 month that i gave papers and + 2 months which i will stay in my country + 3 months of visa = 6months and some days

i hope i count well
my wife she is here and is little hard to be away ...

1. You mean the process to enroll for a 6 months course or to get the TRP? The former depends on the type of course and the school, while the latter is 6 months.

3. I'd suggest you come to Russia on a tourist visa with the help of your wife (or a business visa but this depends on where you are registered and where you intend to be registered in the future) then gather and submit the required documents to process your TRP. Thereafter, go back home or just cross the border (the choice is yours) and then come back after say 4 months when your TRP must have been ready or immediately if you decide too.

How much it cost for Russian Language course any type for 6 month?

And It will exactly 6 month for TRP process or before 6 months? I mean between 4 to 5 months? Any one got much earlier like 3 months?

The cost for a Russian Language course of 6 months varies and depending on city and school.

The TRP process takes exactly 6 months. That is the law and the guys at the immigration office tries to stick to it. Very few people got it in less than that. It sometimes depends on the city where you reside.

hi femi am happy been here , pls iam coming to russia with 3months visa, how can i extend it, though i have a plan of marring a russian woman if i get cause i think that will help me a lot , but if i didnt get , can i extend my visa cause i want to live there for long and work there

Hi and good to see you here.
Your 3 months Russian CANNOT be extended here in Russia unless you fall ill or something similar that would have prevented you from leaving.
Even if you get married in Russia on the very day you arrive, you will still have to leave after your visa expires.
Your best bet would be to get a multiple business visa but even with that you will have to leave the country every 90 or 180 days or so.
The process of securing a temporary stay permit (which is the first step in securing a permanent residential permit and citizenship afterwards) usually takes 6 months minimum.

thanks femi am so happy for ur answer, so i must come with 1year visa before i can get TRP because as u said now its 6months before i can get it, so with 3months visa i cant and i need to leave and come back again .

precisely. With a 3 month visa you will need to leave the country and go back to get another visa and re-enter again. Tedious and its cost money.

Hi Sam,
How long is your visa? 1 year?
The new rule limit foreigners working in Russia to 180 days annually out of a 365 day year. And those 180 days are broken into two 90 day periods, not back to back. So it's 90 days in, then 90 days out.
That means that after 90 days you have to go out of the country and then come back with the same visa.
As for the job, well getting one will be a task but with a work visa (+ a work permit) I believe you should be able to work. Keep in mind though the language and cultural barrier.
Bikes (especially) power bikes, etc are very popular in Russia (especially Moscow) during the summer so you might be lucky. Note though that you will have to search for a job yourself.
How well do you speak Russian?
Yes, Africans walk freely in the streets in Russia. Just be careful and respect the law.
