Shakira's Waka-waka Song
« on: October 13, 2011, 06:09:02 pm »
I think Shakira made a great performance with her Waka-waka song. I also love how the music video incorporated the dancing African ladies. What can you say about the song?

I loved the song too. I don't hear it nowadays, though. It's out of time. Most of the songs of Shakira have the same feature, they keep on ringing on your head for some while. She looks sexy on every video. Have you checked out the video of her new song "Rabiosa"? She is pole dancing on this one. And she has changed her hairdo as well. Sexy. :)

And no, I don't know the meaning of wakawaka, do you?

It is an outstanding song. After the song "whenever, wherever", "waka-waka" touched my heart deeply and desperately.

Well, since everyone (moderators) :P is disregarding the question let me answer it. Waka-waka is an African word which means bringing everyone together. I just searched the meaning in the internet so if you're a native speaker and want to make some corrections, suit yourself. :)

No hard feelings here, Afrobabe. I am just sticking to the topic. :) I apologize if that appeared rude or  offensive. I won't bring up a joke like that again. Please forgive me (begging).

Seriously. I am sorry. I don't show sarcasm. I can be rude and brutal, but I won't mask my words with sarcasm. I really love my stay here, and I don't want to bring a bad impression to the community and to the moderators. Thank you.

Being rude online does not mean hitting on your keyboard until your keys fell off. There are so many ways to show brutality, and words can achieve the act perfectly. :) Of course I don't do that. I am always friendly online and in person. :)

Wow !! Until I read this post, I didn't knew the meaning of it. So that means that this song also has a meaning and its revealed in the songs lyrics itself.

Yes, Its when you go through the lyrics of this song you can clearly understand that this is not just the song compiled for world cup but to represent South Africa.

That will be great, but you can't really sing Waka Waka when the event is held in India or Russia.  :P
