Lokomotiv Stadium Moscow

Just last weekend, a friend called me up and invited me to the magnificent and impressive Lokomotiv Stadium in Moscow to watch the match between Lokomotiv Moscow and Spartak Moscow.  An interesting match it was.

And as you may by now know, that we have quite a few Africans players in both teams: Dame N’Doye from Senegal  (who just can’t stop scoring at the moment) plays for Lokomotiv Moscow FC and he indeed scored against Spartak Moscow to draw his side level. Victor Obinna (from Nigeria) also plays for the same team.

Emmanuel Emenike (from Nigeria) also came on for his side after half time (Spartak Moscow) but could not help his team avoid defeat.

All in all, it was a good evening of football, wasn’t too cold and there were security guards EVERYWHERE! The stadium, itself like I said, is quite impressive.

Word is that Liverpool FC will play their Europa group phase match against Anzhi in the same stadium, so if time permits and it ain’t too cold, I will try to go and watch live. Not just to go and see the African Football living LEGEND himself – Samuel Eto’o Fils and other African football stars, but also to have a nice evening of football in a delightful stadium.
